I'm assembling the .54 cal flintlock and looking at the priming part of the lock it looks very small. About 1/8 inch deep and 1/8 inch wide leading to the touch hole. Is this normal? Do I have to machine it out? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

I have a Pedersoli 1874 Sharps in 45-120 and love shooting it. Unbelievable craftsmanship in that rifle.
